Vogue Festival Post

VogueFestival-Collage-final2-vogue-rasha-17feb14_b_2Saturday my friend Harvii and I attended the Vogue Festival for the second year in a row. We had tickets to ‘Personal Style Do You Have it?’ with Alexa Chung, Amanda Harlech and Lucinda Chambers and, we had tickets to ‘The Philo Factor: Reinventing Cool’ with Phoebe Philo and Alexandra Shulman. Both talks were really insightful and debate worthy.

One of my favourite moments at the ‘Personal Style: Do you have it?’ talk was when there an unanimous ‘no’ from the panel when it came to answering the question: Do you need money to be stylish?. Which reinforced my own personal beliefs. I love Celine so much and have done ever since Phoebe Philo took creative control. Phoebe Philo herself is a very private person so when I saw she was taking part in the Vogue Festival I knew I had to get tickets. She spoke about what she wanted to represent through the clothes and it was all very inspiring. Probably my favourite quote was when she said “I don’t like to see women dressing for other people and dis-empowering themselves.” WOOO GIRL POWER!

I could totally bore you all with every single detail of what happened at the Vogue festival but I’m sure checking out Vogue.co.uk will be much easier and useful. Overall I had an amazing time and I 100% plan on going again next year.
