The first month of the year has come to an end and rather quick too. That can only mean one thing: Time for all the things I’ve been loving this month. It is the first time I’m ever going to do this in Casual Milestones but don’t fret I promise to keep it up!
First I will begin with beauty products – This January I’ve been loving: My ‘Naked 3’ palette – I think there’s been about 3/4 days in January in which I didn’t have some sort of eyeshadow combination in my eyelids from this pretty (so pretty) amazing palette, I just love every colour in it and find it so easy to wear and change from everyday wear to evening wear. I’ve also been loving the Miss Manga Mascara – I won’t go into much detail about this mascara as I posted my review last week, but this mascara is simply my new favourite, I like it so much that I’m even finding it hard to go back to my ever so faithful ‘They’re Real’ mascara by Benefit. Another favourite is the Maybelline Baby Skin Pore Eraser (review coming soon) – for the price I paid I have to say this isn’t too bad, it makes my foundation go on quite smoothly and makes my pores look substantially smaller and less obvious (which is always a win). Finally I’ve been loving my Smashbox lipstick in the colour ‘Latte Matte’ – I’ve been trying to make more use of nudes, as I find it that when I wear my eyes completely done up a brightly coloured lip is often too much, this smashbox lipstick it’s matte ofcourse and actually not as drying as some of the matte lipsticks I own which makes me a very satisfied customer.
Fashion favourites – If there’s one thing I’ve been wearing non-stop this month it is my grey Zara coat with navy detailing on the sleeves and shearling on the lapels. I got ill at the end of last year because the coats I had been wearing weren’t warm enough, so when I saw this cutie on the sale I had to get it; it’s super warm, specially on the chest/neck area and so easy to wear with anything. Another thing I’ve been loving this month is my pink with silver detailing running throughout and slightly cropped jumper from Primark. Pink is one of my favourite colours but I actually don’t even any pink till that jumper. I usually find pink really hard to wear as I sadly don’t think it goes with my skin tone but I’ve been loving the pastel trend at the moment and all things pink. I’ve been wearing this pink jumper with jeans, skirts and over shirts so I have a collar showing for that school girl feel.
Random favourites: So this January a new TV show has taken over my life completely; The Carrie Diaries has been my addiction this month, I cannot get enough from it and I’m like so sad it has ended and I don’t even know if there will be a season three – which makes me SO SAD. I feel like it got taken away from me so quickly (dramatic I know but hello AUSTIN BUTLER *insert emoji with heart eyes here*). If you haven’t seen the show I totally recommend you spend your whole weekend watching the two seasons, 80s fashion, 80s music, sex in the city and Austin Butler is like the winning combination.
And that’s it for my favourites this month, I hope this was okay for everyone and I’ll be back next month for the next set of favourites!
