“There is an element of seduction in shoes that doesn’t exist for men. A woman can be sexy, charming, witty or shy with her shoes” – Christian Louboutin. By now you must know that my number one weakness are shoes. I LOVE shoes, I mean the first thing I do when I visit a website is that I check out their shoe section first. I must admit I have small problem that I may or may not have under control. So when December came around and when my loan came around I gathered a few new pairs of shoes that I wanted to share with you all.
The first pair I bought was from the & other stories shoe sale. They are this super classy pair of emerald green velvet pumps, subtly decorated with round gold studs. I had my eye on them when I visited the Regent Street store (their store is the cutest thing, if you haven’t visited please go, you’ll fall in love) and I couldn’t take them out of my mind so when I saw that they went on the sale I had to have them. They were £33 down from £65 which I thought was an absolute bargain. I haven’t had the chance to wear them yet as the weather has been rather wet and I don’t want to ruin them. I can just imagine that they would look great with a midi skirt or cigarette trousers; perfect for an evening out or dinner. Sadly you can buy them online now but you can get the black version not on sale but you can try instore.
The two other pairs are from Topshop one I got for Christmas and the other I bought about a week and a half ago. Both pairs are boots (surprise, surprise!) but they’re quite different in terms of style. The boots I got for Christmas were a pair of shiny burgundy chelsea boots with a cowboy-esque print decorating the boot. Considering most boots I own (all boots I own) are black it was nice to have a pair that is going to stand out when I wear black jeans or black tights. I’ve had a look on the website but they’re sadly out of stock now. The other pair are still in stock and have become quite popular. I caved and got a pair of Topshop’s chunky platform heeled chelsea boots. They are super easy to walk in and so comfortable, although after a few hours they begin to ache the ball of your feet. The reason I got these was because I didn’t want to get the Grace or Libby vagabond boots as I’m trying to keep myself under a budget.
